Downderry Primary School were incredibly lucky to begin the new year with a visit from our local MP Heidi Alexander. Heidi delivered a motivational assembly to the children, talking about the responsibility of head pupils and members of school council representatives. Heidi also discussed her role as a Labour MP and answered the children's challenging questions. To finish the inspiring assembly, Heidi announced the names our of new Head Boy and Head Girl Alex and Maurisha.
