FOOTBALL AT DOWNDERRY

Downderry has representative teams in the Lewisham Football League for years 3, 4, 5 and 6 for both boys and girls. The league has been running for over 20 years and is one of the largest regular footballing events to take place in the country with around 300 children from Lewisham schools playing each week. Our teams play on a Saturday morning once every 2 or 3 weeks. Our achievements include winning the Year 6 Boys' Champions Cup in 2010, winning the Year 4 Boys' League in 2022, and winning the Girls' Shield in 2022.

Furthermore, we have competitive festivals and cup competitions throughout the year. 

We have also had players at Downderry who have represented Lewisham in the district team, and therefore competed in regional and national competitions.
