In the absence of the phonics screening for Year 1 in summer 2020, Year 2 were required to take the check in the autumn.
80% of our pupils passed, which is in line with pre-Covid national expectations. National and local data has not been published.
Due to the outbreak of Covid-19 and the subsequent closure of all schools across the country, no exams were sat for the 2019-2020 academic year.
The Department for Education did not request any predicted grades or teacher assessments for any year group, so there is no SATs data to present for the year.
However, the school would like to place on record our congratulations to the pupils in every year group who worked tremendously hard and with an admirable spirit throughout their time at school and during lockdown.
The staff and pupils continued to maintain high standards of teaching and learning throughout the year and would no doubt have achieved successful results had they been able to complete their assessments.
We are very proud of our Year 6 leavers and we would like to thank all of the children, parents, staff and governors for their hard work, helping to make our school the successful place that it is.
