SEND
At Downderry we consider the individual needs of every student to be at the heart of all we do. We have an inclusive attitude to SEND and aim to provide the support children need to progress with their individual goals. Through quality first teaching and class based intervention programmes we address the needs of all.
Specialist support is provided for children who have an identified SEND need through the expertise and training of our own staff and by working closely with outside agencies, such as speech and language therapy, ASC outreach, specific learning difficulties team, educational psychologists and occupational and physio therapists.
