Anti-Bullying Week
Fri 17 Nov 2017Local police officer Steve Eaton visited Downderry this week to deliver safety talks to pupils in Key Stage 1 and 2 as part of Anti-Bullying Week. The children really enjoyed his visit and participated in group discussions.

Flu Vaccination
Fri 17 Nov 2017All Reception, Year 1, 2, 3 & 4 children will be offered the flu vaccination. The vaccination is optional and is given as a single spray squirted up each nostril. The nasal spray is quick, painless, and works even better than the injected flu vaccine. Please return your consent form as soon as possible.

Children in Need
Fri 17 Nov 2017Thank you to everyone who came to school dressed in something spotty and donated money to Children in Need. A special thank you to the Reception parent who donated the “Spotacular” cup cakes!

Remembrance Day
Fri 10 Nov 2017Today (Friday 10th November), in remembrance of our fallen heroes, we joined together with local schools to pay our respects and to lay our wreath at Downham War memorial.
Thank you to everyone who supported our Poppy Appeal to raise funds for essential welfare work for our Service men and women, veterans, and their families. We will let you know how much was raised soon!

SEND coffee morning
Fri 03 Nov 2017We are holding a SEND coffee morning on Wednesday 15th November, 9:15-10am, in the Acorn Suite. The drop-in session will be lead by our SENDCO, Jane Fawcett, Speech and Language Therapist, Monsurat Adesany and SEND teacher Miss Williams.

Anti-Bullying Week
Fri 03 Nov 2017As part of Anti-Bullying Week, 13th-17th November, Miss Hewitt will be running a parent workshop on Thursday 15th November, 9:15-9:45am. The session will focus on defining bullying and it's various forms including cyberbullying. -
Parent Partnership Workshops

Poppy Appeal
Mon 30 Oct 2017In support of the Royal British Legion, Poppies are now available from the office. Please see below for a range of other items for sale, to raise funds for essential welfare work for our Service men and women, veterans, and their families.
Last year Downderry raised £717.87 from our Poppy Appeal. This year we will be trying to do even better!

Spooky Disco
Fri 20 Oct 2017A massive thank you to everyone who attended the Spooky Disco, with special thanks to the PTA for all their hard work. Everyone had a fantastically Spooky time!
