Sport Relief
Fri 23 Mar 2018This week, we have been taking part in Sport Relief 2018! As one of the UK’s biggest fundraising events, Sport Relief brings the entire nation together to get active, raise money and change lives.
Students have been taking part in a number of sporting challenges throughout the week, while aiming to collect sponsorship for as many as they can complete. A prize of a free session to ‘Rascals soft play’ will be given to the class that raise the most money so please could we ask for all sponsorship money to be brought in by Thursday 29th March.

Swimming
Fri 23 Mar 2018Last Friday a team of Year 5 and 6 children took part in the Lewisham Primary Schools Gala. Great performances from the whole team meant Downderry finished 2nd overall against 18 other schools from the Borough of Lewisham. Keyon was best year 5 boy and Noah was best year 6 boy overall, with Sathana finishing 2nd in the year 6 Girls category.
Well done to everyone who took part!

World Down Syndrome Day
Fri 23 Mar 2018On Wednesday Early Years celebrated World Down Syndrome Day. A parent kindly donated mismatched socks for the children to celebrate our differences.

Spring Concert
Fri 23 Mar 2018Thank you to all parents, carers and friends who attended our Spring Concert, we hope you enjoyed the show. The children worked extremely hard rehearsing for the performances!

STEM week
Fri 16 Mar 2018This week the children have been “Exploring” as part of STEM week. Children have been researching and building vehicles that can explore the polar regions, the deepest ocean and even space!
On Monday we had a visit from Professor Nitrate and his ‘explosive’ experiments!
