  • Safer Internet Day

    Fri 14 Feb 2020

Thank you to the Breck Foundation who visited Downderry on Tuesday for Safer Internet Day. They did a great job informing our children of how to keep themselves safe online. We would also like to thank the parents who attended the Breck Foundation workshop. We’ve had some great feedback which we will pass on to the foundation.

Thank you again for arranging such a session. Real eye opener busting so many myths. Presentation based on real life example sends a really clear message.

You will be able to find more information about Internet Safety in the e-Safety section of the school website. Here you will find some helpful links for parents shared by the foundation.

  • Governor Visit

    Fri 31 Jan 2020
Earlier this week our school governors spent the day in school, getting to know the school better.

'Thank you, and all the team, for a most enjoyable and stimulating visit.  It was a pleasure to be at the school and to gain a greater sense of the school’s ‘workings’. The visit added considerably to my ’knowledge base’ on the school community; and confirmed my view of the staff as dedicated, passionate and enthusiastic professionals committed to not only raising standards, but also to instilling in the children a love of learning.  Those children I encountered, were purposeful in their work, articulate in conversation, polite and friendly in manner, and had a great sense of pride in their school and their own achievements.’

    - Governor

Thank you Governors and well done Downderry!
