  • Covid – Update

    Fri 22 Apr 2022

The Government no longer provides free Coronavirus testing. Schools will continue with measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and other infectious diseases – including good ventilation and using outdoor spaces; making sure people wash their hands regularly, use tissues and throw them away properly.

Please remind your children to cough into a tissue or their elbow, cover their mouth and nose with a tissue when they cough or sneeze, and to put used tissues in the bin immediately. Ask them to wash their hands with soap and water often, especially before eating, and to use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available.

For children, COVID-19 is usually a mild illness and most get better in a few days. Although testing is no longer available, children and young people should stay at home and avoid contact with other people if they have symptoms of COVID-19 and:

    • have a high temperature or

    • do not feel well enough to go to school or do their normal activities.

They can go back to school when they no longer have a high temperature and they are well enough to attend. 5 to 11 year olds who are well will be offered the COVID-19 vaccine in vaccination centres, pharmacies, GPs and walk-in centres.

You can read more about the vaccine and book an appointment from the COVID-19 page of the school website.

  • Free School Meals Vouchers

    Fri 25 Mar 2022

Lewisham will continue to support families with FSM eligible children by providing vouchers for the Easter holiday. This does not include pupils who receive Universal Infant Free School Meals. The funding will be £30 per child, vouchers must be collected from the school office on Monday 28th, Tuesday 29th or Wednesday 30th March, between 8.00am-2.00pm.

This may be the last time vouchers will be offered during the school holidays. However, Lewisham Council is providing holiday programmes, with free activities and lunches for children eligible for and in receipt of benefit- related Free School Meals.

A wide range of providers in Lewisham are supporting the delivery of this programme, offering various fun-packed sessions, including art & crafts, multi sports, singing, dancing, drama and games.

The programme is provided from Monday 4th April to Thursday 14th April 2022.
