  • Ancient Greek Day

    Fri 24 May 2019

Last Friday Year 3 celebrated Ancient Greek Day. The children looked amazing in their costumes. There were lots of exciting activities and the children had fun whilst learning! Thank you to our parents in supporting the children with our events and special days at school.

  • Outdoor Classroom Day and London History Day

    Fri 24 May 2019

This week we combined Outdoor Classroom Day with London History Day by encouraging children to get outdoors in the local environment. The theme for London History Day this year is ‘Celebration and Local Culture'. Lessons took place outside of the school, in and around Downham, learning about the wonderful area in which we live.

Examples of the children’s learning along with a film looking at what school was like at Downderry in the 1950s can be found in the Curriculum section of our website.

  • Bottle Cap Collection

    Fri 24 May 2019

A huge thank you to all who brought in bottle caps for our bottle cap art project! The response was incredible and we managed to collect enough bottle caps to create our mural! The collection is now over at Downderry, but please remember to recycle your bottle caps at home!
