Invasive Group A Streptococcal (iGAS)
Tue 13 Dec 2022A child in the school has developed invasive Group A Streptococcal (iGAS). We have taken advice from the UK Health Security Agency and there is no reason to make any changes in the school routine or for children to be kept at home if well.

Unclaimed raffle prizes
Mon 12 Dec 2022Unclaimed raffle prizes from the Christmas Fair can be collected from the school office.
The lucky ticket numbers are: 5, 158, 187, 194, 203, 225.Don't forget to bring your winning ticket when collecting your prize!

Scarlet Fever
Wed 07 Dec 2022You may have seen news reports about a high number of children with Group A Strep (which includes scarlet fever) in the UK, and Lewisham is seeing the same. Please see the letter sent to parents for further information from Lewisham’s Director of Public Health about scarlet fever.

Important Changes to SATs Dates
Fri 02 Dec 2022In honour of King Charles’ III coronation an additional bank holiday will take place on Monday 8th May 2023. The new schedule for year 6 tests, will be:
Tuesday 9th May

Starting school in September 2023?
Fri 02 Dec 2022Is your child starting school in September 2023? Come to Catford Library on Wednesday 14th December, 9am–6pm, to get help with your school application.
Speak to the friendly Lewisham team about your child starting school, find out what paperwork you need or ask questions about free school meals and any extra support available.

Saturday Flu clinics
Fri 11 Nov 2022The School Health Immunisation team which is based at Downham Health Centre, Bromley, Kent, BR1 5EP 1st floor room 6, will be doing top up's every day after school from 3:30-16:30pm.
They will also be having Saturday clinics on the 12 of November 2022 at Kaleidoscope Children Centre Catford SE6 4JD, Waldron Health Centre Newcross and Downham Health Centre BR1 5EP.
If your child/children were inadvertently missed in a Lewisham school, you can contact the team to book an appointment or simple walk-up on the dates and time advertise.

Pupil Voice
Fri 16 Sep 2022This week Year 6 children have been writing and presenting their manifesto speeches, with an ambition of becoming the next Downderry Head Boy and Head Girl. You can view their excellent video speeches on the “Pupil Voice” page of the school website.
Congratulations to our new Head boy: Bhukazh and Head girl: Kayla who were democratically elected.
Children from years 1 – 6 have also elected their class school council representatives and this term’s prefects have now been chosen.
We look forward to working together this year, demonstrating our core values including this term’s: Cooperation.
