• Poppy Appeal

  Thanks to everyone who bought a poppy for Remembrance Day. Downderry raised a staggering £717.87 for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal to fund welfare work for our Armed Forces families.

• Santa’s Grotto

• Year 4 School Journey

  This week Year 4 children have been on an adventure to PGL in East Sussex, Climbing, Archery, Fencing, Aeroball and the Giant Swing!

• Harvest Festival

  Thank you to all Children, Parents and Carers who donated to our harvest celebrations assembly. The assembly was filled with brilliant singing, dancing, poetry, drama performances and demonstrations from Father Stuart. Donations will be shared between BeGO, St Barnabas Church, our Children's Centre and a local charity, Thank you all again for sharing and donating.

• MacMillan Coffee Afternoon

  A massive thank you to children, staff, parents and PTA for the fantastic support that we had in raising funds for MacMillan Cancer Support to fight against Cancer.

   

  Downderry raised £787 for the charity.

  

• Year 3 School Journey

• Roald Dahl Day

  Roald Dahl Day was a great success and the children had lots of fun taking part in all their Roald Dahl themed lessons.  We had some fantastic costumes - well done to our parents and carers! We also ran our own poll for Downderry's favourite Roald Dahl book and the winner with an overwhelming majority was... The BFG!
