Pupil Voice Achievements

This year has been a very busy and successful year of facilitating positive change within the school based on the views and requests from the children within their School Council assemblies. These include:

A change in uniform policy. Girls may now wear smart shorts to school in the summer should they wish (not cycling or sports shorts please).
The introduction of attendance reward prizes each term for the year group with the highest percentage attendance.
Children have made their requests for how we can improve our playground spaces utilising money raised by the PTA.
Children have the chance to vote and suggest ways that we can raise money for various charities throughout the year.

The next change coming will be giving the children the chance to put forward their ideas for what they feel best represents Gold Star Behaviour, hopefully making the gaining of one clearer for all students. Come back soon to see what is decided!

Elections 2025-2026

As we do each year, in September the children voted for our Head Pupils following listening to the year 6 candidates putting forward their manifestos on why they felt they would best represent the views of their peers.

This year, Peculiar and Ismail were elected and are enjoying their time in the prestigious role.

We also carry out elections within classes each new term for classes to elect their School Council representatives. They then help lead their class assembly each week, discussing important topics and are responsible for listening to the feedback from their classmates to then report back to a meeting with the other representatives, head pupils and lead teacher every week.
