To coincide with the Summer Fair, Downderry held its own Bake Off Competition. Head Pupils, Isaac and Ellie, together with Miss Moore, judged (and tasted) the entries before selling them off at the Summer Fair.

''A massive thank you to everybody who entered the Great Downderry Bake off. It was tough job to decide the winners, as all the cakes were delicious. The Key Stage 1 winner Anthony’s cakes were light and had wonderful banana flavour. The Key stage 2 winner’s cakes had a lovely texture and the buttercream was like silk." Judges.

As a school, we pride ourselves on giving our pupils as broad a range of experiences as possible throughout the year. As well as having our own swimming pool, our older children attend swimming lessons at Downham Leisure Centre. We regularly host cycle training and provide an extensive range of after school clubs. We also arrange intra-school competitions throughout the year as well as participate in inter-school competitions and festivals in a range of activities, including football, dance, swimming, basketball, gymnastics, cross-country and athletics.
