Our School Day

Downderry offers an extended day, from 7:45am - 6:00pm, providing a Breakfast Club, after-school activities and an after-school "Forest Club" for our pupils and local community.

Nursery:

At Children Centre entrance

Gate open: 9:00-9:10am

Part time collection: 12:00pm

Full time collection: 3:00pm

Reception & Key Stage 1:

At Key Stage 1 gate

Gate open 8:30-8:50am

Children should go to their class line by 8:50am and will be escorted into their classrooms

Collection: Gate open: 3:00pm

Key Stage 2:

At Key Stage 2 gate

Gate open: 8:30am

Children should go to their class line by 8:50am and will be escorted into their classrooms

Collection: Gate open 3:10pm

Please only arrive for your pick up time as we do not want the playground to become congested. Adults collecting should wait behind the steps. You must leave as soon as you have collected your child.

Late pick up- Once the gates close children will be sent to Forest club and Parents/ Carers charged (£10)

Please remember that any student absence needs to be reported on a daily basis by telephoning the office on 0208 698 5768 before 10am. You must also remember to send in a letter with the student on their first day back explaining the reason for their absence.

To promote good attendance at Downderry, the children receive weekly, termly and annual awards for good punctuality and attendance.
