Trips, Visits, Visitors and Events

At Downderry we recognise the importance of providing experiences that stretch beyond the classroom. It is our intent that Downderry pupils will experience a range of trips, visits, visitors and events experiences across the curriculum during their time with us that are carefully chosen to engage and inspire, whilst building progressively upon prior learning and experiences. In addition to this, we also give children a wide range of outdoor activities at the end of the year focused on developing teamwork and resilience as well as just having a lovely day in the outdoors which is excellent for physical health, mental health and wellbeing!

Please note that trips are subject to change and may sometimes be substituted for a different trip or experience. The costs given are approximate and will change depending on the costs given from the centres we visit as well as travel costs.
