  • Harvest Festival

    Thank you to all the Children, Parents and Carers who supported our Harvest Festival with your donations. We had a fantastic time in our sharing assembly on Thursday. We were lucky enough to have Father Stuart with us to tell the children about Harvest and the children watched a LKS2 drama performance. 

     

    We will be distributing your donations to our Children Centre’s Foodbank so a HUGE thank you once again for your generosity! 

     

  • Poppy Appeal

    We will once again be supporting the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. Poppies and other various items will be available from the school office from Tuesday 2nd November.

  • Walk With Amal

    Our Goodwill Ambassadors welcomed Amal to Lewisham today. Amal, a puppet

    of a young refugee girl, walked all the way from Istanbul, Turkey to highlight the plight of refugees. Our ‘Refugee Reformers’ created banners welcoming Amal to

    Lewisham.

  • Reducing our Carbon Footprint- COP26

    Building works will be taking place over half-term to improve the insulation and energy efficiency of our school. There will be no swimming the first week back after half-term as an improved ventilation system is being installed in this area.

     

    On Friday 5th November we are also inviting children to come into school dressed in their own clothes. We are asking for a £1 donation towards a Street Trees for Living initiative. In partnership with Lewisham council, trees are to be planted outside the school, helping to counteract climate change and improve the air quality outside of our school.

  • Black History

    This week we have been celebrating Black History as part of Black History Month. This year our theme is ‘Proud To Be’. We have focused on inspirational people from a Black and Brown background who have overcome any challenges to achieve their dreams and to inspire others.

     

    We have had great discussions, activities and visitors to celebrate these heroes and thought about what makes us proud.

    Where you will find photos from our week and a useful Parent’s Guide, offering resources, activities and tips for families to empower our children to work towards racial equality. A copy of the guide is available for reference in the PTA Hub by the Key Stage 1 entrance.

  • Benefit Related Free School Meal Vouchers

    Lewisham will be providing vouchers to benefit related Free School Meal eligible children for the October half term.  This does not include pupils who normally receive Universal Infant Free School Meals.

     

    Vouchers will be available to collect from the school office on Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd October between 8am-2:30pm.

  • World Mental Health Day

    Sunday 10th October is World Mental Health Day. To celebrate World Mental Health day, on Friday 8th October, we would like children to wear something bright and colourful along with their regular school uniform. This could be an accessory or a brightly coloured top!
