What is Homework?
Homework is any learning activity that pupils are asked to do outside of their normal lessons. This can be done on their own or with support of parents/carers.

How much time?
These are only guidelines but children are not expected to spend significantly more time on homework than is suggested.

Year 1 & 2:  1 hour per week
Year 3 & 4:  1.5 hours per week
Year 5 & 6:  30 minutes per day.

What should I do?

  • Daily reading
  • Learning spellings (test on Friday for Years 1-6)

Autumn Poems, by Year 5

Homework Exhibition

During Parent's evening on Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th March, children's homework projects were displayed in the Middle Hall.

Year 2 created iconic London buildings including a spinning London Eye!  Year 3 made their own inventions and created 'The Journey of Food'.

Year 4  were given the homework title, 'The Future', children worked together to create their own human sized time machine with lights inside.

We hope you enjoyed seeing how hard the children have been working on their homework projects and we thank you for your support at home.
