  • Black History Week

    The 1st October marks the beginning of Black History Month. Next week we will be celebrating this in school. Our focus this year is black music, we will be looking at the history of particular genres of black music and famous musicians from past to present.

  • Jeans for Genes Day

    Thank you to everyone who wore their jeans and supported our Jeans for Genes Day. We raised  £246.66 which will be used for a range of initiatives that improve the quality of life of children affected by genetic disorders.

  • Harvest Festival Assembly

    Fri 29 Sep 2017

    Please support our Harvest Festival celebrations by donating any tins, packaged or dried foods, to be given to the elderly representatives from Bellingham Golden Oldies and local homeless charities. We will be having a special assembly on Wednesday 11th October, where children will be learning about Harvest from Father Stuart of St Barnabas church.

     

    Donations should be brought into school by Monday 9th October at the latest. All donations, however small, will be gratefully received.

  • Gold STARS

    We are proud to announce that once again we have been awarded a Gold STAR from Transport for London in recognition for promoting active, safer and responsible travel within our community. Thank you for your continued support, helping to reduce the amount of traffic on our roads by walking to school.

  • Parent Learning Week - Maths

    Many thanks to all the parents who attended our English workshops - the feedback has been very positive and the children all enjoyed working with you.

     

    Our next Parent Learning Partnership week will be Maths, during the week beginning 9th October. You are invited to join your child and experience a typical Maths lesson.

     

    A crèche facility will be available. Sessions will take place at 9:15am and will last approximately 45 minutes including a Q&A session with the teacher:

  • Year Group Exhibitions are back!

    Parents are invited to attend our Year Group Exhibitions, where children will be showing their work from the past few weeks. Year group exhibitions will be held on Friday afternoons, 2:15-2:45pm in the middle hall:

  • National Fitness Day

    On Wednesday 27th September, children will be taking part in lots of activities aimed at developing their understanding of how to become fitter and healthier, as part of National Fitness Day. Activities will include jogging, dancing and cycling. Children are to wear their PE kit to school on the day.

  • Roald Dahl Day

    Thank you for all the support on Roald Dahl Day!!  We had a marvellous day, celebrating Roald Dahl and all his wonderful characters and books.

     

    Well done to Mulberry Class who won the Best Dressed Class competition on Roald Dahl Day.  They have won a brand new class library with the choice to choose some of their own books!!  Well done also to Ash Class for a special effort and will receive a new set of Roald Dahl’s collection of books for their classroom.

  • MacMillan Coffee Afternoon

    Put your baking skills to the test and bake a cake for us to sell on Friday 29th September 2017 at ‘The World’s Biggest Coffee Afternoon’ in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

     

    The fundraiser will be held in the Key stage 2 playground from 2.30pm. Please bring cake donations to the office.
