  • Merry Christmas

    We would like to thank all the parents, carers, children and staff for their support this year, making it a very successful 2018 for Downderry. Children break for Christmas today and return to school on Monday 7th January 2019.

  • Xmas Factor

    On Wednesday we held our annual Xmas Factor, talent contest. The standard was very high, well done to everyone who took part! The winners were Selin, Pamela & Lilly-Mae from Ash class who performed a fantastic gymnastic routine. Sebastian from Elm class was runner-up.

    Swimming will restart during the first week back after the Christmas break for years 1-4. Years 1, 2 & 3 swimming lessons will be in the school pool. Year 4 swimming lesson will be at Downham Health & Leisure Centre.

    Family First are giving away up to £1,000,000 worth of sports equipment to schools that are nominated by you, the parents!

  • Christmas Fair

    A huge “Thank You” to the PTA for organising an amazing Christmas Fair and thank you to all the parents, carers and friends who came along and also made donations. Thank you to the Choir who sang beautifully throughout the fair.

     

    We raised £688. This will go towards a variety of projects within the school to support the children's experiences and learning.

     

    Well done to Chenai who made Christmas Pom-Poms to sell at the fair to raise money for Cancer Research!

  • Turning of the Year

    A massive well done to the 30 children of the Downderry Choir for their superb performance at the ‘Turning of the Year’ concert at the Royal Festival Hall! They performed alongside two other Lewisham schools on the stage and sang a tear jerking solo.

     

    Thank you to all the parents who travelled to Southbank to support our children, it was a wonderful evening.

    Downderry children have recorded another Christmas album for 2018.

     

    Hey! That's What I Call A Downderry Christmas Vol. 2 is available from the school office at £2 each. They would make a great gift for friends and relatives this Christmas!

  • Choir

    Fri 07 Dec 2018

    This year’s Downderry Choir made their debut performance on Saturday, singing at The Glades, Bromley to raise money for Demelza, children’s hospice care charity. They ended the morning session with great singing, dancing and smiles!

     

    Well done Downderry choir and thank you to all the parents and carers that came along to support. Keep an eye out for our choir at the Christmas Fair this afternoon between 3:15-3:45pm!
