Home Learning Update for Y6 - 13th July 2020

Please find below the final week of home learning tasks from White Rose and National Academy. We hope it has been useful to you in supporting your home learning.

From all at Team 6, we want to wish you a happy summer, and hope that you enjoy your break. I speak for all of the staff when I say that we're immensely proud of you - both for the hard work you've put in, as well as the positive way you've dealt with the adversity this year has thrown at you.

We hope to see you on Thursday 16th July, so that we can say a final goodbye to each other.

Thank you,

Year 6 staff.

Home Learning Update - 4th May

Dear Parents/Carers,

From Monday 4th May, home learning tasks will be uploaded weekly. This is due to many parents and carers requesting more frequent learning tasks. Each week, the Year 6 teachers will upload a suggested timetable with links to tasks. We will also make sure the links can be easily found in the home learning section of our class page for each week. We hope, in this way, that we can support your children to keep up with their learning at home. The maths and English links will take you to ready-made lessons including videos, presentations and tasks that the children should be able to access independently or with light support.

We would like to remind you that all the tasks uploaded are optional and the timetable is just a suggestion to help guide you. We are fully aware that home environments look very different for each family and that resources (including digital ones) are often having to be shared amongst multiple members of a household. We are also aware that many of you are working from home and are juggling your own work with supporting your children's learning.

The Year 6 teachers would like to reassure you that, whilst we are providing a comprehensive list of tasks each week, we completely understand if they are not all completed and just ask you and your children to do the best you can under the unprecedented circumstances that we have all found ourselves in.

We would also like to wish you and your families well and hope you are all keeping safe!

Many thanks

Mrs Dunne, Mr Ruffer and Mr Levett
