Black History Week

The children have fully embraced Black History Week, with each year group focusing their learning on a different black individual who has 'Made a Change'.

Year groups studied; Claudia Jones, the lady who brought carnival to London. Mary Seacole, Ruby Bridges and Walter Tull, who was English football's first black player and the British Army's first ever black officer to command white troops. Children found out about the lives of these people and their impact on the world and even filmed their very own documentaries!
