We will continue to recognise birthdays in our Monday assemblies.

Admissions

If you would like your child or children to come to Downderry, please take up our invitation to visit the school to find out more about us.

You will then need to complete an application form available from the school office. There are different forms and starting dates for the nursery and the reception class.

Children are usually offered a part time nursery place the term after their third birthday, and a full time place in the term before they start reception. In some cases, names have to go on a waiting list.

Please get in touch if you have any other questions or need more details.

Transition onto Secondary school

As part of the transition from Primary onto Secondary school, our learning mentor has several parents’ evenings throughout the summer term outlining the process. Parents are also assisted with completing the online CAF (Common Application Form) and with organising visits of secondary schools.
